Hey, there.

So I just started playing BL again. I had a copy back when it was released, but it lost it's value to me when I thought no one actually played it aside from myself. Albeit, I really didn't make an effort to learn the game, but a week into playing it again, I'm pretty fascinated. lol I managed to read some of the threads for it already, and despite the much appreciated and constant lulz, found arshaq useful for learning about those cancels. I play some fighting games pretty competitively and it makes me real content to see BL isn't just a button masher, even if it isn't the greatest fighting game of all time.

But I digress. I just wanted to say hello and that I'm looking forward to joining the DBC community.

Sounds like a plan to me. Does it play a lot like Tekken? And if I remember correctly, from my experience of working at Gamestop, it's a rare game find as well, no?

I guess I lucked out and found a brand new copy at k-mart for $20. Never seen it anywhere since. It might be ebay or amazon time lol. As far as playing like tekken goes thats a major negative. Its pretty different altho they do share similar techniques but VF blows tekken out of the water when it comes to technicality. I used to be a major Tekken fan but after getting into VF its just not the same.

Virtua Fighter I might consider this could you tell me a little bit about the fighting system I haven't played any VF at all lol. You block with back? Is it a lot like Tekken?

Actually in VF u block with a button. There are only 3 buttons tho P, K and Guard. Then there are combinations of the buttons for other moves. Since there arent that many buttons there are a lot more directional inputs needed to do different moves than Tekken. Everyone has lots of throws all done with P+G and directions and u break them by buffering in grab and your own directions wich have to mach the last direction pressed by your opponent. Anyway, there really is too much to explain personally it would go on forever lol so if u wanna check out a faq this looks like good one to start with.

I've never been a big fan of Tekken.

So that's a good thing. XD But I remember playing Virtua Fighter back in the day and enjoying it. Those were the days when my competitive, L33t fighting skills hadn't matured and blossomed just yet. haha I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open for a copy noww.

Yea Virtua Fighter 5 is pretty good, by the way guys have you seen the new movie out called Ghost Rider? Nicolas Cage is in it.
