Dragon Ball Z - Great Anime...or GREATEST Anime?

Even better with the Funimation dub! Although emphasising everything makes it look like I'm being sarcastic...I'M NOT!

I say its one the great animes that i watch.

As far as Japan goes, it's just another anime...

But in America, it's pretty much the greatest anime to exist. America wouldn't even care about anime if DBZ was never aired on Toonami.

It was good back in the days, but now I can't sit there a watch a whole episode of DBZ it's too fucking long, too many fillers.

Well like I said DBZ itself was good back then, but once you've watched the show 10 times or more you get bored of it. And Kai sucks dick.

growing up with toonami i can definitely say that dbz set the trend for anime outside of japan.

its a great anime to me but i do think there are better ones out there.

Lets say you avoid the anime fillers

Lets say you avoid the shitastic dub with all the nonsensical line-changes and Fat Buus hideous dub voice

Lets say you dont consider how it helped anime go mainstream here in the states a second[Which s plus to some people a minus to others]

Say we watch DB:Kai basically

Then.................Its pretty solid.Its paced well enough the over the top fights are cool to behold the story makes sense in its own continuity and the years between each major event works without making the potential end of the universe a mundane experience.

Now im not going to go and say its better than One Piece FLCL EVA or some of those but i have to admit DBZ is actually pretty solid.Strip away the crap flung at it and we have a pretty wild universe exploding ride going on

The dub for Kai is pretty solid cap. And gg pointing out the cinematic masterwork known as Eva.

Yeah i watched Kai on Nicktoons lats night as was strangely impressed. The dubbing was miles better than the original and the music was pretty great too.

Are they re-dubbing Kai? I thought they would just use the same vocal track they did for the original dub.
