Nah BL2 over IW2 anyday as long as they fix the ki system. The engine for BL was superior to IW. The game only fell short (REALLY short) because of the terrible ki system which made combos far too situational.

Or take out infinites from IW2 and fix the stupid fatigue system.

A budokai 5 should have high/low blocking, take out infinites for the most part, and make it so tht if you fatigue someone, they fall into an uncomboable juggle.

Infinites are fine, idk what you guys mean. We have damage buffering lol. Never to BL2, the damage buffering in that game was terrible. What kind of bs is it that Vegeta can do a 7000+ damage combo.

We already have damage buffering at 34 hits all damage becoming 1.

I'd say in IW2 give damage buffering to the Physical Death Moves like Dragon Fist and Heat Phalanx so that damage becomes 1 after 34 hits. Adopt Ki cancelling and adopt the fatigue from BL so you fall to ground to recover automatically once fatigued, instead of staying juggled. All combos will only do an average of 1800 damage max. (unless we get an idiot like someone who I ran into saying he could do a 4000 hit combo at 1 damage per hit and win...)

BL had a terrible game execution.

-Damage buffering was terrible.
-Teleport only 1 ki bar cost.
-Can't manually charge ki.
-Auto Ki Regen too fast.
-Death moves and ki blasts have 0 ki cost.
-Slow character dash/movement.
-Ki does not recover while caught in a combo. If caught at 0 ki, you cannot escape.

And I know am missing a couple more negatives. BL is just not a good fighter, the whole game is like intended for spamming, making combos impractical, and thanks to the bad damage buffering, IF caught in a full combo you are pretty much dead. Bad game is bad.

Instead of trying to fix so many flaws they are better off just fixing the couple of mistakes in IW and make IW2/B4 with online and manageable lag control unlike BL's.

I disagree with the Dimps reboot. All they need to do is location test their games and they'd be perfect. They already have a really good engine.

On a side note, weren't cancels a glitch in B1?lol

lol but that makes it just as bad IW's flaw of staying fatigued while juggled and not having a chance to react to a non-buffered infinite like SDF. It's like saying the first who makes a mistake loses :/

Damage buffering doesn't help the system from seeming unpolished. Infinites will always look ridiculous.

And yeah, BL needs a lot of work, but at it's core is a more polished moveset for every character.

No one cares about how something looks. It's like saying I prefer my car being white over being green. If they are the same car with different color the choice is on you ^.^ it doesn't change that both cars run just as well. Thus, buffered infinites work in fighters. Budokai is not the only one to have them and if someone wishes to use them knowing they are gaining no advantage from it, then it's on them. They choose to do it and no one really has room to judge because is not cheating/broken or anything.

Is easier to develop character movesets for a well done game, than to fix a dozen issues on a flawed game. Besides the only real reason BL movesets are more unique is because of the small cast. The larger a fighter's character cast, the less character individuality exists because developers run out of ideas.

But Burst Limit's horrible online play pretty much prevents people from doing 100% combos unless your Zeus in which case I agree it sucks lol

Yea, I agree. I'm pretty decent offline but am terrible online. It's not the type of lag where you can get used to it unless you play all day for a long time
