DBC Recruitment
I'm just throwing ideas around so keep in mind I haven't thought this out, the point of this topic is to try and ignite discussion and opinions as to whether we should and how we can recruit some noobs from other forums on to DBC, riding the 'coat tails' and i use the term fuckin loosely of Raging Blast 2's imminent release.
I remember I heard about this site from a post made by Tay on the Burst Limit board a few months before its release and I'm sure a lot of you were the same. Sure its not a very high success rate in terms of people actually sticking around once they've signed up but the more people we get here the more people DBC will retain.
First of all what's your opinion on actively trying to get people to join DBC and secondly what are the spots to hit aside from GameFAQS?

Well i hate to mention his name but arshaq brought in alot of members through his youtube videos by posting the link to this site in the description. That seemed to work so you guys could give that a try.

Shoryuken, Dustloop, other FG sites in general, advertising on PSN would be a good idea too. Posting RB2 shit like intros and gameplay before release with DBC's link in the description is good too. Hit up daizex.com too, that site is dedicated to DBZ and gets like 10000 visits a day.

Depends. Some sites don't allow advertising like shoryuken and dustloop I think.

DBZ games are dead what's the point of joining this site? Change the fuckin name for something else because no one here plays DBZ.

Me and all my boys still play DBZ, the only reason you don't see match vids is because were too poor to get a cam. But yeah, opening the site to a broader spectrum of games would be smart, like aking it aboyt anime fighters in general.

Re: DBC Recruitment
Technically, you can advertise on SRK with your sig.
The issue with DBC is simply the lack of interest in the DBZ fighters and none of us doing anything to promote the games OUTSIDE of just the internet. People blame lack of online for IW not becoming more popular, when that was the last thing wrong with it.
Plus we're a board for DBZ fighters, not specifically Budokai. It wouldn't hurt to also introduce people to OTHER DBZ fighters...RB being the best bet, tbh.

Hero is right. Plus there's been new ppl but it seems they sign up and leave. All my videos have a link to this site and every other site i sign up for i put an link to this place in my sig. There are just not enough ppl that keep up with dbz fighters not including RB.
Re: DBC Recruitment
Bring them here, regardless. If you know someone that's interested in any DBZ game in terms of getting better, direct them to here. The more people you bring in for a certain game, the more potential people you can get interested in other games.Heromaster111 wrote:Problem is none of the regulars like RB
Antonius, it's like I said...no one's introducing anyone to the games OFFLINE within their local scenes. That's the BEST place to find people that are into obscure fighters...just where your local FG community plays. Ask anyone if they've played the game or are interested in playing it, sit down with them, teach them the game, help them get better, etc.

I have done some of that. I've trained my two cousins, three of my friends, gf, and a few neighbors. None of them play it anymore. They rather play MW2, RB, Street Fighter ect.. Only one of my cousin's and gf still play it with me once in a while. I am going to tell all my friends that are RB fans to come here. Maybe I'll do a youtube video about this site.
Re: DBC Recruitment
My gaming club is going to have an event with SSF4 MvsC2 and a DBZ:IW Tournament coming up real soon and we convinced one of the other city colleges to compete with us.You know I cant resist plugging this site and the Budokai community when I inevitably win at it

That's a lot I don't even play SSF4 that much in a day, you can post whatever you want about fighting games there's a section on the forums.

Re: DBC Recruitment
Some people do...I did lol. Hell, how else do Japanese players get so good lol? They pretty much get off work/school and play for a few hours everyday...well some do.
Nowadays, I probably could get 5 at the most...but that depends on what I do the next day lol.
