It's still considered DBZ and it counts that Goku killed them >_>. How does it not count if it's mentioned by Trunks? Even if it doesn't show it, it's still mentioned meaning it counts as canon. Also, I don't recall Devil saying that if it isn't shown in the series it doesn't count. If it's DBZ and if it's canon, it counts.

ok the reason i say goku was 16 is...

gohan was 16 when he was going to high school, that was 7 years after cell, which would make him 9 while fighting cell (not 11 like piccolo says), also goku and gohan spent a year in the hyperbolic time chamber in which gohan did age in, so he was 8 before they went in, then 3 years before that was when trunks came to warn them about the androids, which would make him 5 at this point, then that was a year after frieza so he was 4 while fighting frieza, and when goku arrives to fight frieza after he was done healing frieza tells him that be blew up planet vegeta 20 years ago, and since goku was born within days of the explosion this would make him 20 years old at this point and if gohans 4 that means goku was 16 when he was born.

Though, you got your numbers wrong since facts show that he was definately 20...just count the number difference between Goku's DOB and Gohan's DOB. Also, it's best not to count from top to bottom...just start from the beginning of Dragon Ball. Counting from top to bottom just makes a lot of room for error since there are so many points in which their age changes or is explained or alters or w/e.

Anyway, I don't get how hard it is to explain that Goku was born in 737 AD and Gohan 757 AD. It shows a 20 year difference there and that's from when he was born, not from the Buu saga down.

how are the number mixed up, those are the numbers that it says in the actual show and i did the math right. i dont see how that can possibly be wrong just cuz some people say he was 20. the actual show says he was 16. id personally rather go with the show than some random people on the internet

And to make it official information, every piece of information in those links are taken from the Daizenshuu book (specifically Daizenshuu book #7 shown in pic below) which is the official encyclopedia approved by Akira Toriyama meaning that those dates are official.

well technically both of you are right. akira toriyama contradicts himself a few times in the show. example would be gohans age during the cell saga. so he says one age in the show and one age in the book both are correct

Lawl yeah he does contradict himself, though, it would make more sense to say that the book is right since manga is original while anime has fillers.

well why dont we compromise. we both have valid points, you have a lot of sources and i have the actual show to work from. so i think saying were both right would be better.

The is an adaptation of ATs work it is NOT his canon work.Gohan also isnt 13 as well because the Dub says it

Yeah Cap is right, which is what I also stated. The show is an adaption of the manga (not really Akira's work per se) meaning it isn't the correct one, hence the word "canon". If anything, the show should be the one with a mistake. Lmao, sorry for being stubborn, but, I defend my points to teh death. Anyway, I can't answer you Cap...I don't remember and I can't find teh damn answer!!
