Re: Gohan (Adult)
Okay, the first thing you'll notice is that Gohan lacks a useful ranged punisher until he gets High Tension. Barrage is amazingly bad, and Explosive Cannon covers a small area. Therefore, it's difficult to punish with him from a distance.
With his ability to step-cancel from anything he can charge, it's very hard to punish him. His SA3 is his only one that naturally combos, but it links into Explosive Cannon. While SA3 is not at frame advantage on block, the step-cancels will keep an intelligent opponent wary of attacking back, where you can create whiffs and set up easy Cannons, along with RBs keeping the opponent blocking. SA4 is super-cancellable and dash-in is RA-cancellable. Also, Gohan's throw can be SS-cancelled, and full RA string can be step-cancelled as well as SS-cancelled and altitude-cancelled. So Gohan's melee is indeed solid.
Explosive Cannon is a monstrous super in that its hitbox covers Gohan almost entirely. I'll let it be known that I've hit an opponent from BEHIND ME while doing this. It also has priority over pretty much any other projectile in the game. Explosive Wave is a nice super that gives +frames on block without draining too much ki, and Wild Sense is a decent defensive move. As stated before, Barrage/Volley is crap...too much recovery lag. Super Kamehameha is pretty average. Gohan's supers aren't wonderful in range, but their purposes otherwise are incredible.
So yeah, Gohan is fairly strong. Where he lies in the tiers is currently unknown, but from what I can tell, he's mid tier at the very least, 2nd tier at the most. A very solid character who's only hampered by the fact that he has a tough time when his opponent's too far away. His offense isn't world's best, but it gets the job done, and he's helped out by some very resourceful supers.
